A journey that will guide children to discover the many animals depicted within the works of the Museums of Strada Nuova... a true painted zoo! Wonderful birds and fierce exotic felines, fantastic beasts, and cuddly pets populate the works of numerous painters from the Middle Ages onward, each with its own significance.
AGE GROUP 6-10 YEARS
Sharpen Your Eyes - Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes
Let’s learn together to analyze a painting starting from the details. We will observe some paintings housed in the rooms of Palazzo Rosso and exercise our observation and memorization skills like true detectives in action.
AGE GROUP 11-13 YEARS
Luxury and Elegance: Daily Life in the Ancient Republic of Genoa - Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes
Through the analysis of paintings by great Italian and foreign masters preserved in the famous collections of the Museums of Strada Nuova, this journey will help us learn about and delve into daily customs, eating habits, sophisticated ways of setting tables and banquets, home furnishings, and the refined fashions of the great Genoese aristocracy from the 16th to the 18th century.

"The Most Beautiful Street in the World": The History of Strada Nuova in the Words of Travelers - Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes
With these words, Charles Dupaty described Strada Nuova during his stay in Genoa in 1785. From the privileged viewpoint of the magnificent garden of Palazzo Bianco and through several works preserved in the collections, we will discover the history of Strada Nuova, renowned worldwide and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the evolution of the surrounding neighborhood. This journey through time will be accompanied by the words of numerous Italian and foreign travelers, personalities from the world of culture and politics who were dazzled by the grandeur of the street and the magnificence of its buildings.
