A journey that will guide children to discover the many animals depicted within the artworks of the Museums of Strada Nuova... a true painted zoo! Wonderful birds and fierce exotic felines, fantastic beasts, and lovable pets populate the works of numerous painters since the Middle Ages, each carrying its own meaning.

Sharpen Your Vision - Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Let’s learn together to analyze a painting starting from the details. We will observe some paintings preserved in the halls of Palazzo Rosso and practice, like real detectives in action, our ability to observe and memorize images.
AGE GROUP 11-13 YEARS
Luxury and Elegance: Daily Life in the Ancient Republic of Genoa - Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
Through the analysis of paintings by great Italian and foreign masters preserved in the famous collections of the Museums of Strada Nuova, this tour will explore the customs and daily life, eating habits, sophisticated table settings and banquets, domestic furnishings, and the refined male and female fashions of the great Genoese aristocracy from the 16th to the 18th century.

“The Most Beautiful Street in the World”: The History of Strada Nuova in the Words of Travelers - Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours
With these words, Charles Dupaty described Strada Nuova during his stay in Genoa in 1785. From the privileged viewpoint of the magnificent garden of Palazzo Bianco and through some works preserved in the collections, we will discover the history of Strada Nuova, renowned worldwide and a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the evolution of the surrounding neighborhood. On this journey through time, we will be accompanied by the words of numerous Italian and foreign travelers, personalities from the worlds of culture and politics who were captivated by the grandeur of the street and the magnificence and monumentality of its palaces.
