The Uffizi Gallery is housed in the building built by Cosimo I of Medici and designed by Vasari in 1560; its unique collection of works cannot be compared to any other world collection and it  is probably the only one to have just masterpieces of exceptional value. Botticelli’s Primavera and Birth of Venus, Filippino Lippi’s Madonna and Child with Two Angels, Titian’s Venus of Urbino , lots of other works, including from the early Masters Cimabue and Giotto, early Rennaisance pioneers Fra Angelico and Masaccio, Caravaggio, Rembrant, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. If you want to enhance your visit we suggest to purchase the combo ticket that gives you access to the Museum of Palazzo Vecchio (excluding the excavations of the Roman theatre, the Ronda walk and the tower) and the Uffizi Gallery, passing .from one to the other through the first section of the Vasari Corridor.

If you are passionate about art there are museums in Florence you can not miss: the Bargello National Museum houses masterpieces such as his Bacchus, Pitti Tondo (or Madonna and Child), Brutus and David-Apollo, and  the Accademia Gallery  that houses what is considered the most important sculpture in the world: the David.
