Siena is a treasure trove of historical, artistic, religious and cultural riches all to be discovered. The best way to do it is on foot, admiring the changes to the town over the centuries and enjoying the spectacular scenery and curious particulars. You will appreciate the major tourist attractions like Piazza del Campo, the true heart of the town, the Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall), the Cathedral and the majestic Basilica of San Domenico. You will learn about the great noble families, such as the Piccolomini, Tolomei and Salimbeni, and their palazzos and about the great tradition of the Siena Palio, but also to the stories of pilgrimage and saintliness that distinguish the town. With your Opa Si Pass you will enjoy the beauty of the Duomo complex, a treasure chest that holds immense art treasures, statues by Michelangelo, Donatello, Bernini, the Pulpit by Nicola Pisano and the wonderful Libreria Piccolomini frescoed by Pinturicchio . You could enter the Baptistery to admire the beautiful baptismal font created by some of the greatest sculptors of the Renaissance: Jacopo della Quercia, Lorenzo Ghiberti and Donatello. The visit will continue down into the Crypt, to enjoy the breathless beauty of the grandiose pictorial cycle from the XIII century, and in the Museo dell’Opera, where you will admire some of the must-see treasures of Italian art, including the world-famous Maestà dy Duccio di Buoninsegna, the very delicate Golden Rose by Bernini, the Madonna and Child by Donatello and the moving Crucifix by Pisano. Last but not least the visit with a climb up to the Facciatone where you will enjoy the most fascinating and unforgettable view over Siena and the countryside.

For optimal organization of visits to the Monumental Complex of the Cathedral of Siena, we recommend that you pick up your OPA SI PASS already upon arrival. The Opa Si Pass itinerary can be made in about two hours and retains a validity of three consecutive days from the date of issue.

11:00 am: Guided walking tour lasting 1h30 min. A guided walk during which a professional guide will show you the main tourist attractions such as Piazza del Campo, the true heart of the city, the Palazzo Comunale, the Cathedral and the majestic Basilica of San Domenico.
